help please.....

so i want to start recording a few tunes on my computer and i am totally lost on what type of equipment to use. my budget is about 250 and if you could give me a few types of models that would be in that range it would be helpfull. thanks in advance

to add to my post in that thread, since you are going to be guitar recording (i'm assuming) you're going to have to take a look at your pick up and your sound hole and figure out which sounds better to record from.

if you have the ability based on some of the things i wrote in the other post, the best bet is to do both and mix them on your computer. a good combination of sound hole and pickup always sound the best.

I too am looking into recording and I first getting started. I want to mic my amp rather then record straight into the computer. Am I better off with a condensor mic or another mic (dynamic maybe?)? Anyone?

that helped a bit but do you guys have any equpiment that you use that you love and wuld reccomend..... and is it possible to record two guirats at once..... oh and i am using a acoustic electric guitar if that makes any difference
