This is an arrangement of a Sufjan Stevens song I put together a few weeks ago (Not original, but I made many additions and modifications). My cellist friend and female vocalist friend said they were willing to record. Sweeet.
A few notes:
My vocals are most definitely the weakest part - I had never recorded in front of people, and it was awkward. I also felt bad asking for another take, so some obviously bad takes are in here. This is definitely not my shining vocal hour.
I had worked my piano parts on a grand piano in the music building...then I recorded this one on a keyboarded with no weighted keys, and it sounded terrible. We ended up using the MIDI's and got a good piano plugin to make it sound pretty. I still would have liked to use a real piano.
There are some arrangement errors, but we ran a little over time. He said that I can come back after break and clean the track up, but I think I'll wait until I have another track to record.
So to sum it up, I'm on piano (and the bass thrown in there) and voice, my friend is on the cello, and my other friend provided female voice accompaniment. I'd give it an 7.9/10 on my harsh scale.

Cello, piano, voices, a little bit of bass + studio = fun

nice
Very nice, the cello sounds so strong... Vocals weren't bad at all, not as good as girl in the war you posted, but I assume you did that alone? I'm sure you'll get as comfortable in front of people as you were with girl in the war.
You're recording quality is awesome, what did you use?
