Green Eyes

Unread post by Kevin_1313 » Sun Jul 09, 2006 11:59 pm

Hi, I've been listening to the covers at this site for a long time and finally figured out how to post one myself. This is the coldplay song off "A rush of blood to the head".

dmbtabs.. welcome to it. That was really good man, great quality too, I always enjoy that. Anyway, the guitars were great, the one you had panned to the right channel messed up slightly a few times but nothing major. The voice was good but it poped the mic a few times, did you use a pop filter, that would help a lot? Solid voice regardless, I would tone down the reverb a bit to bring out your voice some more. Great stuff man, also might want to fade out at the end. Stick around, good stuff! What was your recording setup?

I posted a cover of this song years ago. I didn't think anyone else would cover it.

You did a good job, the guitar sounds great. As do the backing vocals. There are a few pitch problems mainly in the chorus though. Work on hitting the high notes.

Good job.

Matt, thanks for the great feedback! I don't have a pop filter, I was wondering where that noise was coming from. I have a shure condenser mic and record into a Boss BR1180.

Miguel, thanks for the feedback as well, I remember listening to your cover of street spirit last year and being blown away. Sometimes I just flat out lose the pitch when going from verse to chorus, gonna have to keep practicing that. Thanks again.

That will come with time and practice. It was really good, I was just nitpicking.
Ha, I just realised in my last post I wrote 'You didn't a good job'. Fixed.
