A little Shotgun download.

Unread post by dmbguitar718 » Sun Jun 11, 2006 11:51 pm

My guitar's been in an alternate tuning since yesterday, and when I was playing, I worked out a little Shotgun. It gave it nice sound. A lot better than just standard with a capo.

Oh, and I suck at solos. Sorry.

So yeah, enjoy. It's short, and I put it together within like an hour. Just something to do.

Very nice. Such a beautiful song.

What did you use to mix this?

Were the vocals recorded separately from the guitar?

Did you record into a mixer or a condenser mic or what? This is exactly what I want my recordings to sound like. Any mixing/recording/effects tips would be great! Thanks in advance!

I like this sound. Good job once again. The guitars were mixed perfectly, but I still feel like your vocals are in the background or secondary. I realize this is not finished but kudos.

Oh yea, I know you like writing your own stuff but I think you could do a great Iron and Wine cover.

Yay, more protools users! Anyway, that was preatty good. The only thing that stuck out to me was the reverb on the voice, you need to shape it a little better, the S's travel a little too much and cause some build up. If you used the default protools reverb, its not hard to do. Post a tab sometime, you did well.

Thanks guys. My guitar was in CGCGCC. It's a very weird tuning. I put a capo on the 5th fret.
