Coldplay - Don't Panic
Did this one this evening. It turned out a lot better that I thought it would, but it's not without it's flaws. This was the first time I've ever used my shaker or harmonica in a recording. I think the shaker helped a lot.

listening...
damn! nice intro. that was awesome. that's the reason i want to play the piano.
loved that transition.
kinda think that lead guitar part during the "we live in a beautiful world" part is almost staple to the song, but you kind of make up for it with that...syntehsizer or whatever in the background.
your voice sounded good for the most part. i think on the "we live in a beautiful world" line...it sounded weird the first time around, but it sounded better after. great job singing.
all in all...awesome. good work pat!!!

EDIT: I've seen so many different versions for this tab. How did you play it?
And it's simple.
Verse:
Am -> C -> Fmaj7
Chorus:
Dm -> Am -> C -> Dm -> Fmaj...
and it's funny, when i was listening, that part sounded weird to me.

god i want to learn piano. i've been trying to teach myself stuff since december, but i can only do it in bits and pieces bc my keyboard is at home. i'm home until tomorrow so i've been playing around on it for a couple days..and today in a moment of frustration i decided that i wish i could just learn it in a split second
but what i was trying to say was, very good job

Actually, I just listened to the actual song...you're probably right. I didn't listen to the song at all prior to making this recording, so I just went by how I thought the song went. I was just fooling around on the piano and I started playing this song and grabbed my guitar and played it how I remembered it.i-am-me wrote:hmmm...i've always played the chorus Dm, Am, G....i'll try out C.dmbguitar718 wrote:Thanks.Reckless Mind wrote:I really enjoyed this. Whatever. In actuality, it doesn't even matter if I play a C or G there, because I'm not adding/singing any notes on top.

That was a cool rendition...I thought your vocals were strong, and I was definitely digging the piano, and your guitar was solid as usual......
I did a recording of Don't Panic last year, you can have a listen here:

Hey that's was pretty well put together. Some weak vocal spots, but I really liked it overall. Pretty cool that you used the harmonica as well.daylight_2004 wrote:That was a cool rendition...I thought your vocals were strong, and I was definitely digging the piano, and your guitar was solid as usual......
