Unread post by horsmar15 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 6:57 pm

I've been doing some writing lately and have come up with a new song. Take a listen and tell me what you think, thanks

(at the top of the page, the song is "Don't Move")
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

Sounded good. No real critiques. It sort of sounds like a Jack Johnson guitar part. Maybe try making the guitar part a little quieter and see how it sounds. nice though. i give it a thumbs up. oh and i think you messed up a little bit around 1:38. other than that, great!

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Cool riff, I like it a lot. You're playing is very solid and rhythmic for the most part with one or two slip ups. Your voice is strong and the jam at the end is wicked!

One thing to work on is the volume of your singing. It sounds like you are recording guitar and vocals at the same time through one mic which is fine but there are times when the vocals get too loud (almost distorting). Try recording the guitar on one track and vocals on another. That way when it comes time to hit a loud note you can back away from the mic a bit without also making the guitar quieter.

Good job, post some lyrics too!
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
