Solo jazz piece - "Night and Day" *UPDATE, TABS NO

Unread post by Cor » Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:47 pm

I just felt like recording this song. I learned and played it for my college audition, and have always wanted to lay down a recording of it.

I did this in one take, but that's not to excuse anything. This is a pretty good representation of how I usually play. Anyways, enjoy :)

BTW, it's kind of quiet, sorry.

(for some reason the link on your post wasn't showing up right)

Sounds real good man, I dig the sound of your guitar, too. I like the warm tone, and you play nice and clean. Groovy

I really liked this. Very Joe Pass like. In fact, is this the version that he plays? Awesome, I wish I could play like this.
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

Yeah, my guitar teacher and I figured it out from the Virtuoso disc.

It's not note for note, it's got a little of my personal touch in there when it came to approach, rythym and a little of the phrasing.

Thanks for listening!

For sure, I will have to take digital pictures of my sheets of tab, so it won't be great quality, but I'll get on it soon and post it in this thread.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks guys. Keep on the lookout in the next couple of weeks for a collaboration between me and Chris (GumboMadness). We've started talking about some duets in more of a "full band" style. I'm also thinking of arranging a chord-melody to the tune "Misty". I'll try to post soon.

Here are pics of my tab sheets I used for this song. Sorry about the low quality. I don't have a scanner and this was the only way I could post them. I will clairfy anything anyone needs.
