first original

this is the first original i recorded. i have others but never recorded them. this is only a one track recorded and i only recorded once and this is what i got. i dont know how to put in on a link but i can send it thought aim. ask me to hear it if you want. if someone explains how to add it on a link ill do that also thanks.

your song is in WAV format and 31 mb, so I doubt many people will lcritique, but I will go ahead and listen.

I like the intro and how the verse slows down and takes the song somewhere different. Sounds exactly like a Jack Johnson song, its got that strumming pattern and such. Recording quality leaves something to be desired. Your voice sounds a little like Howie Day, I think. Guitar work in the intro is pretty cool. It's a simple song, but thats not bad. A couple of flat notes, but nothing major. You're singing pretty low, sometimes it sounds like talk-singing, but that could have been the affect you were going for.

Overall, not a bad song, not a great song. You're guitar sounds solid, your vocals are good, but there's always room for improvement, keep recording and keep posting man :thumbsup:

I really like this tune. I think some better recording equipment and a little tweeking of the levels will make a world of difference in the overall recording quality. Other than that, I think it is great. I am interested in hearing more of your material.

thanks, yea i recorded only one time and it was just on windows recorder and only one track. once i get a new comp. ill be getting some software with that. once i get this ill post the new version for yals critique.
