I didn't listen to the whole thing because it kept rebuffering every 15 seconds or so but it sounds great

hey juineaux, in this track your voice does somthing that i referred to a long time ago. when you go up higher it tends to get really nasal. unfortunately, it does that to the point of not sounding too good. i can't tell exactly, but i think the problem is that your not getting enough support for the high notes. really try to keep the air moving on the higher parts and give it some good gut support, and it should help out a lot. what i think it happening on a very technical level is that your larynx shoots way up on the nasal parts, which usually happens when you sing higher than your support allows. other than that, sounds pretty good.

My voice still hasnt come back full force(i cant scream the parts of hey joe and i dont get any power) since I was sick in April. I dont think this is related to that, but im not sure. I was thinking of making an album this May, but I think im gonna hold off untill June or July. So I can pratice these songs and play out more. thanks for the replies everyone-

i listened to this song over and over again...i like the feel of it, and i think your voice sounds good when you hit the higher notes. there is a real difference in your voice from the low to high notes, which is surprising at first and then you get to liking it. i say good job, i dont think it needs as much improvement as the others are saying...i also like the guitar part, with the quick chord changes and the mellow solo parts

I think im going to record myself "Live" next month at a gig. I will see how my voice sounds after that. And if the crowd is into it. The only problem is that im playing for a Punk/metal crowd. Im not sure if they will dig my style, probably not, but who cares a gig is a gig :)

I really love to hear ANY original, but yours especially seem...original...you have your own style and I like to hear you use it...only pointer would be to ununciate your words a little more..I couldn't make out what you were singing...=(...anywho, it sounds really good...keep writting... :D

that sounded awesome. I like the way you work the guitar to make the timing seem irregular. On the high part it just sounds like you need some more pressure behind your vocal chords....try taking fuller breath and get that feeling of a whistling tea kettle.

Dude,

I think it sounds really good. I also listened to it over and over. I love the guitar work... it's catchy. BTW, what sort of acoustic are you playing?... it sounds great. I think you may differentiate more between highs and lows in your vocals... perhaps getting really soft at times... and loud at others, and a slight bit crisper on ennunciation of some phrases... like the "I am alive" at the end. Just a thought... but I think the song is great.

ElGuitarrista:
I play a Washburn J-12SNA it was like $350. I really like it alot, someone just offered me $600 for it, but I think I will keep it. The Mic im using also helps, AT 3035.

juineaux, are you using the 3035 for both vocals and guitar? and do you have any idea what it might sound like on a piano???

Yea im using the 3035 on both vocals and guitar(one track at a time). I think it sounds great on the guitar, and pretty good on the vocals, but i still need to do a little tweaking on the vocals. I need to start praticing singing more so I can get a better sound, my voice is a little mid heavy. It is actually intended more for vocals, so you may love it for that. I think it would sound great on Piano, becuase alot of the mics in the same price range have a weak bass response and are way to sharp in the highs. This Mic dosnt, its alot smoother and would be perfect for that. Ive used it on bongos with some good results and im gonna use it as a drum overhead soon too.
