Just got back from a gig i played. *JTR download available*

Unread post by Dheibs » Mon Dec 26, 2005 9:53 pm

anyways, i play roughly 2 times a month at this local coffee shop and i was asked to play a gig that was a full DMB setlist. i thought it was lame as hell but i decided to help out the owner and go along with it. the reason for doing a full dmb set was because i never play alot of dave stuff but when i did, the crowd and owners loved it. because of the crowd and owners loving when i played SMTS and Crash when i did, they decided to have me to a full dmb set. but anyways, here it is, i will upload some stuff from the soundboard when i find time to do it. it was ALL DONE SOLO by me, no guests or anything.

#40 -->
Lie in our Graves
Best of Whats Around
Crash
Stand Up
Nancies -->
Warehouse
Steady as we go (requested by some girl in the crowd) :roll:
Say Goodbye
So Much to Say
JTR (played on 6-string)
The Stone
______________
ODH Tease (hott girl in the crowd yelled it once i plugged back in, so i played the first couple chords but then i couldnt convince myself to play it all :lol: )
SeeK Up
Trippin Billies

JTR - ive never played this at a gig before, but i pulled it out this time. I screwed up the lyrics a few times and the last part of the "Fast" jam is kinda shitty. but other than that, i think its good for being played live for the first time.

sounds a little odd, but cool nonetheless. Can you put up the Stone and Say Goodbye?

SU, nancies and JTR would be nice to hear if you can get that up

strange as it sounds, i do a lot of all, or mostly all DMB sets. granted my time is normally limited to under a half hour or so, i normally do about 75% DMB or so

Sounds great, not a fan of the vocals, I think you need to sing with more confidence. And be like "what of it bitch, I'm here". Right now you sound real timid.

^agree with tictacs...Dave's voice is very full, and that's hard to cover well. ie on the "rain, rain...", his voice rings longer/has more 'punch'.

Still sounded great, post more soon!

thanks for the comments, i DEFINATELY agree with you on the vocals parts. but i do have sympathy for myself because ive never played it live before and i didnt have a teleprompter like dave so i would forget words, that would in turn make me think about what im singing than HOW i am singing. but thanks again. i will put more up soon, im still havin trouble with my protools. its being the biggest bitch ever.
