MIDI help?

i just got cake walk 4.0, and the m-audio fast track usb interface. I installed each and when i try to select MIDI it doesnt have anyhting i can select for the input. is there anything i am forgetting to do, im a begginer and am extreemly lost, the directions arent relaly helping solve this problem, thanks.

hmm why are you recording MIDI? From a keyboard?
