the drum thing was def a cool thing to do since you didnt have drums. your voice could use a little work but on the other hand you are as good as most people here. but if you wanna set yourself apart. The one thing i noticed alot was the timing in parts was pretty off. but i guess its not the easiest some timing wise.
overall it was nice to hear this song covered. keep up the good work

aight dude, i checked it out. good guitar playing and the percussion thing was a pretty good idea. were you using muted strings? i wouldn't have thought of that. if you weren't, then don't listen to what i just said cause i totally came up w/ it
you did a good job, maybe you're a little unsure of your vocals. you have a nice voice you should try to get a bit stronger w/ it. i hate this song so much that it was hard for me to enjoy it, but it's not because of your version. you did a good job w/ it.

ya i just put my hand over the 3rd fret and strummed. what do you mean my vocals are "unsure"? do you have any tips for improving it and making in stronger? thanks for the nice feedback

i mean just belt it. you seem a little timid you know. volume isn't what makes vocals sure but it helps. i don't know quite how to describe it. just make sure you're confident when you sing, even when it's quiter. listen to dave's voice in out of my hands compared to like spoon. both are quiet, but in out of my hands he's really timid and shy on the vocals. i think the song was supposed to be like that, but you can hear the difference in confidence. a strong voice is what you should go for. let it go. hope i described that in a decent manner.

The thing that really stood out with the vocals for me was that they were off beat a lot of the time. try playing along with the song a lot more and it'll get better or something. Great song, good cover choice.
Also, I dunno, it's a slower song, but you don't sound like you're really liking singing it.
So yeah, you asked for more comments...and this is the crap I could come up with, keep rockin'

Hey,
your "what should I say" at 1:54 is a good example of confident vocals IMO. it just really sounds like you are projecting your voice from your gut there. the next line is good too right till the end. A lot of the parts in the rest of the song sound like it's coming from your throat instead of your stomach, you don't have to belt it (you can be quiet, think the verse of pig or spoon as someone mentioned) but try and project it a little.
nice work on the guitar, this is one of my favorite songs from Stand Up, keep at it bro.
standard disclaimer: I suck.

Yeah, one thing that stands out to me is your timing. Especially at the beginning, it's off. Gathered yourself as the song goes on, but work on that a bit. And your voice can use some work, not bad. but it just sounds like your straining yourself to much so that reflects on the song as a whole.

Haha, I do the drum intro the same exact way. I always start the rhythm with the mutes and then go into the song. It's a nice cover. Like everyone else the vocals are a bit too shy, theres potential there, but give it some gut man, they'll shine a lot more! Good job with the guitar though!
