Lifehouse "Everything" Clip WORKING
Did this on garage band quickly, it is just a clip not the whole song....need to redue it b/c I sang the wrong words in the first verse...but just wanted to see what you thought of the "sound."
I changed it up a little bit and made my own second guitar part.
I used my acoustic w/ an electric plug-in that why you really can hear the sliding of the strings but I like it, the second guitar part is just straight acoustic w/ some effects.
p.s. might need to turn up the volume a little...still waiting on the Pro-Tools upgrade so I have no pre-amps on the mic or guitar...just plugged it straight into the back of the Mac.

Thanks
Hey I didn't to the whole song b/c GarageBand compared to my Protools setup is a joke....I'll do the whole song when it arrives, I will have so much more controll of the mixing and plugins....
I have to say after listening to this again today, I feel it sucks...the string noise of the "electric" plugin is annoying after awhile and the mix blows.
But thanks for the encouragement.

Re: Thanks
That's one of my girls favorite songs and you did it very well. What tab were you using if you don't mind sharing? I thought your voice was up there with Jason Wade's. Very nice. The guitar was too low in my opinion but sounded great anyway.Taylor614CE wrote:Hey I didn't to the whole song b/c GarageBand compared to my Protools setup is a joke....I'll do the whole song when it arrives, I will have so much more controll of the mixing and plugins....

Guitar
Tuning: Half Step Down (just my preference)
E(low)=D#
A------=G#
D------=Db
G------=Gb
B------=A#
e(hi)--=D#
2nd guitar part I made up, real easy...basically you just play around on the B string on the 5th 7th 9th and 12th frets.
Main guitar is what I call C#m, B, A2. This is the only way I feel I can play it smooth with the necessary bass notes.
C#m------ B-----------A2
0-----------x------------x
5-----------x------------x
6-----------4------------2
6-----------4------------2
4-----------2------------x
x-----------x------------x
You have to mess around on the A2 after you initial hit the note then it just repeats.
Chorus: E, A2, C#m, B, A2
Hevayier chorus:(builds up on A2) C#m, A2, E, B
E(low)=D#
A------=G#
D------=Db
G------=Gb
B------=A#
e(hi)--=D#

Correct
That is correct. I always get confused w/ E and Em but thanks for the correction.
I am actually putting a Tab t/g that will sound just like the original but it will only work with multitrack recording.

those are the chords. i don't use a b where he said to use it everytime. you kinda just gotta go by what sounds right. the bridge is C#m, A, E, B. that's missing from the tabjellyfish wrote:I have checked several tabs in the past and I didn't like what they were saying. I will try ya'lls suggestions. Thanks!
