Dave Matthews Cover "What You Are"
I did an acoustic cover of "What You Are". Check it out if you'd like. Sorry if it tops out a bit at the end...silly computer mics.

Pretty good. I've found this song to be somewhat difficult to pull off acoustically and you do a fine job. Your voice gets a lot better as the song progresses. I think you should work on your breathing. At some points you are simply out of breath and it's quite obvious. Pretty good rhythm. I give you props for attacking this song. Great emotion. Maybe even a little too much for an acoustic performance but that of course is all opinion.

Be excellent to one another.

I love playing this song on the acoustic. I think you did a damn good job with the vocals. I didn't hear the breathing problems GLP mentioned, I thought the breathing & spacing worked out great. (Then again he voted for Bush.
)
I actually have a very similiar singing style & love when people do different breating patterns & pull them off well as you did. Makes it very interesting. That is unless you like doing 3 chord covers & singing exactly like the artist does.
Great job.

awesome
the guitar was good, and the vocals were just awesome man. i think the emotion was necessary, it's good to get into the song, especially this one. you've got an awesome range vocally. that scream was straight balls out. keep the covers coming man.
