Hey i have some open tunning goodies for you guys today. The first song is me just playing a song i learned when i lived in taiwan. I cant remember the artists name but he lives in taiwan and has alot of good stuff this is one of them. The second one is an original of mine and is in the same tunning. As for recording i tried something new for a change. I ran my taylor through a Boss RV-5 pedal and into my marshall practice amp and then just mic'ed the amp, tell me what you think of that. Enjoy.

TOO MUCH REVERB!!! AAAAH!!!
I think you should keep from micing amps unless you have a studio with padded walls and are a sound engineer...
I mean, it works, but if you got a pickup in the guitar (I assume this since you play through the boss) then your sound quality will greatly benefit if you rec right onto your computer and use reverb and mastering plugins in the recording software.
HOWEVER, I can tell that this sound must be awesome through the amp, this much reverb is cool live.. but it just doesnt cut it recorded.
Really cool songs and solid playing though, but plug into the comp and get plugs instead. I'd definitely enjoy these songs recorded straight with a touch of reverb added. In fact, if you do that (please!) I'll definitly will add them to my mp3 player, I love this kind of music.

For all my posts, just add "I think" in the beginning and "in my opinion" in the end. Now shut up!
