two songs

well here i am, posting songs, i though i would never do this but i figured wut the heck, so here is #41 and another cover called Radio, i jsut want you all to keep in mind these are the first two songs ive ever recorded and the first two songs ive ever sang with, and sicne i dont have my mic yet, the guitar is recorded with a comouter mic and the vocal is with one of those headset things, so it doesnt sound the greatest, both of these were first or second try cuz i ran outa time, but you can give em a listen and let me know what ya think

by the way did i mention my voice sux! the higher notes are wut kill me my voice jsut get airy sounding, im gunna try to work on that

im gonna be honest-- good guitar playing--
vocals-- are better than some of the stuff on this site (praisedave)
However, there were a lot of flat notes.. meaning you just ALMOST made it.. and alot of shaky parts where it sounded like someone was pulling hairs off your balls as you sang.
I suggest singing PURELY without your instrument... record yourself singing without anything.. or, sing along to a dave recording of it.. and pay close attention to the melody as you sing it.. when you hit certain notes.. they should totally blend with the recording, like when you tune your guitar to someone elses--know what i mean?
You definitley have potential, but you need to practice more with your voice. good recording.

ya i totaly know what you mean, like im pretty aware of the flat notes and what not (i think they are there cuz i jsut cant hit high notes yet and i dunno what to do so i kinda go have way and it jsut ends up soudning like shit), i think i just have to "find" my voice, im only 17 and never even attempted to sing before, i was looking into getting voice lessons also, i didnt quite have all the lyrics memorized either, which doesnt help much, thank you for comment, i will continue to work on my voice and hopefully get better recording equipment, thanks

I listened to 41. The guitar was a bit choppy, you need to practice a bit more so you can hit it without all the junk. Vocals...well, to be honest this song is just out of your range right now. It's got some pretty tough vocals, so don't let that discourage you - God knows I can't sing it. But I think you need to work with something a little easier until you're comfortable. Good job though, and keep it up.

if you had trouble singing 41 i dont think you should do billies. try a song in D or E. That might be easier to sing for you untill you train your voice. try grace is gone, minarets, or the stone.
