Counting Crows - Colorblind

Unread post by dmbguitar718 » Tue Mar 29, 2005 9:51 pm

This one took a long time to get everything down. It's not perfect, but I think it sounds pretty good. My voice wanders at times I think.

This is with a friend by the way. He's on the piano.

this definetly isn't one of your stronger covers. I'm not sure about your voice. I've heard it much stronger, much more confident. You can hear the confidence in the higher notes, but in the softer notes you seem unsure.

The piano was pretty badass, the keyboard is a cool little addition too.

You didn't do a bad job, but i've heard some really awesome stuff from you and i don't think those vocals do you justice.

Gracias Mitch. I understand what you're saying. I think I can do a bit better vocally than what shows on this recording. I always sing better when I'm singing on my own sometime, but when I go to record, I'm like "eek". Oh well. I'll keep on truckin. Thanks for the feedback. :)

i think you did a really good job on this cover...

i think the vocals are very solid, i really enjoyed it. the one minor criticism i have is when the backing vocals kick in at certain points. they are fine, but i don't think they could be improved.

every other part of the song is flawless though. it's a great song and i think you did a fantastic job covering it. good work!

Very well done Pat. Nothing to crit here, just keep singing. Your voice is coming along just fine.

I thought the song was very nicely done. your voice sounded very soft and fitted perfectly to the song to constitute this mellow vibe.
