"Crush" and a couple others.......

recorded a quick version of "crush" last night and figured I'd share with ya'll. It is very rough!!! Done in one take and I totally messed up the words in a couple places but hey, what do ya do? If anyone else has tried this tune, please post it I want to hear more of these.

Hey, I have my version that has been recorded for the past month now...I should get my computer back in 5 days or less...I did it with Dave's part (and vocals) and with Tim's stuff from Storytellers...

As soon as I get my computer back I will post a bunch of new stuff:

Crush...Minarets...Warehouse(passion intro)... ...all with vocals!

I will give your cover a listen to when I get my computer back ; )

Hey Fire...sounds good man. By then I should have the good version of Crush up on my site.....the one up there now is very preliminary....vocals are way too high and not rough enough....fixing that problem tonight. I'm recording my gig tonight so it should be a good live version. I'll definately be lookin out for your version dude.....sounds like a sweet transition of songs!

People liked them...even though they were just kinda "off the hip"...so I decided to do them once again...

poor taylor - definitely got the feel of the song... your voice reminds me of the 70's singers like. .. james taylor etc... the only complaint for this song is the gutiar work doesnt sound very clean because you're goin through electronics... the muting could definitely use some work like around 1:42 you cant tell what at all is being played.. great vocal track i definitely like the double voicings etc..

crush - you definitely have the feel o fthe song down... the introduction i kept thinking... am i listening to dave or a cover?... hmm... it's really fantastic... 1:15 was a surprisingly nice part you caught me by surprise (again at 1:30)...i wouldnt know this is rough if you hadnt told me... the songs sound great. rough spot 2:14 - 2:21 ... you pick it up at 2:22 with am i right side or upside down... cant say enough about it though i think you did a fantastic job all around =)

i loved that...i've listened to it 3 times in a row..keep it up man, your voice is the least of ur worries, but let's hear a song with some high notes, see what u can do with them bad boys!

oldman, I thought that was an awesome cover of crush! I've always liked playing it and wanted to hear other peoples covers of it. I definitely like your voice the best, it just fits the song well. Anyway, what were you playing for the chorus?? do you have a tab of it? thanks bud.

Yo man, first off, I'm glad you liked it.....that song got killed when i posted on the Bridge....lol! I don't have a tab for it.....i play it in standard tuning and for the chorus I play F slide to G - Cadd9 - C/B.....I find it just fills the song in better than using chords that Dave uses. Anyway, thanks for the comments. Later.
