does dynamic mic uses a XLR input? do you just insert it into the 1/4" hole?

Cheap dynamic mics run straight to an unbalanced 1/4" out.

Nice dynamic mics run to an XLR, just like upper end condensers and such.

A dynamic mic is just a type of mic. Their are condensors and dynamic mics. Examples of dynamic mics...SM58-57...Beta58-57... Examples of Condensors...Neumann U87...Beta98-91-87-...... A mic should use a balanced cable (XLR)...unbalanced is no good (1/4) for a mic. If you go to Radioshack and buy a $25 mic...it will sound like a $25mic and NOOooo better. Go buy a SM58 and you will get a $100 sound... go buy a Neumann U87 and you will get a $2,700 sound.
