Recording Software... What do you use?

Unread post by Tranman66 » Wed Nov 10, 2004 12:53 pm

I don't have any recording equipment, I record off a mic on my computer. Then i use Nero Wave Editor to edit. Do you know any good programs that can edit, mix, and with special effects?

There was a thread asking the exact same question yesterday, just to let you know - these questions are pretty common and you can save everyone some time by checking for them first ;)

everytime i record like a base track and go to record over it, the second layer is 1.297 seconds late. its not a problem because i found the exact amount its off by so i can just move the 2nd layer back. but its annoying

Yes ProTools does rock!! I love it. I use the digidesign MBox as a USB interface and Protools 6.1LE. Makes recording painless and editing even less painless!

Sonar 4 producer edition. Awsome program.
Acid Pro sometimes and SoundForge
Never used ProTools cause I don't do Mac.
Cakewalk has many lower end products that will
do what your looking for as well. ie Home Studio and Guitar studio. Multitracking, effects, loops,
midi..... <$100 I think
