Not too shabby
Sounded pretty decent. However, there was some minor things I noticed. Always room for improvement. Seemed like the beat wasn't constant. Maybe it's just me being tired.

Sounded really good Mikey. I think this is your best one yet.
I have a challenge for your next cover: See if you can play it clean all the way through.
I'm still getting the sense that your only doing a couple takes. I know after a few takes you want to be done with it but hear me out.
Every day try doing a couple of takes. If they don't work out move on to something completely different for the rest of the day, don't even think about the song. Try again the next day and I bet after a week max you'll see vast improvement.
I'm hounding you on this because everything is there to make a fuck-up-free recording but, and I could be wrong, it seems your being complacent. I've always said that's the number one killer of improvement.

I repeat: Almost everyone has the ability to sing well. While some people are born with a sense of how to control that ability, others have to learn it. Either way it's an instrument and anyone would benifit greatly by learning about it.Matty Boom wrote:hey, that's why you practice and try to improvei-am-me wrote:singing...yea....i suck at that, you've heard it.

Think of how difficult the guitar was when you first picked it up. The limitations at that point are almost all physical i.e. painful callusus, not being able to stretch, no stamina. It's the same with singing but it manifests itself in things like limited range, no breath support/volume, and bad technique in general.

Mike, you don't know how right you are. i actually only do one take usually, unless i like drop my pick or something that is just AWFUL. i'll start doing it better next time around.
and matty, i really do want to improve. i guess i'll start up again. next cover probably.
any suggestions of a song to do?

I've noticed a lot of Jack Johnson tunes are easy to sing.i-am-me wrote:Mike, you don't know how right you are. i actually only do one take usually, unless i like drop my pick or something that is just AWFUL. i'll start doing it better next time around.
