B/C who cares u have already proved that u can play dave pretty well. So why not take a stab at originals? Or just cool off on posting so many covers.
Plus man remember u have had an attiutude problem in the past. Maybe if u don't bash ppl so hard then others would have more positive things to say.

I mean come on you emulate Dave Matthews so much well then take a little cue by your idol...relax and be humble.

Cheers,
J.T.

Sorry to sound so harsh but man u need to hear it b/c obviously u don't realize that its a problem...

alright man your guitar work is impressive but here's a little secret man...

when i practiced dave all day long my guitar work was just as good maybe not on exactly every tune u have posted but others.
Yet the day i decided to quit playing DMB to write originals my 'copycat dave style' went out the window and i have never tried to find it again.

So in other words if i spent my days doing nothing but practicing dave i could do exactly what u do.

But i am not talking trash everyone has their own time of breaking away from the norms and finding their own route.

So in other words man my opinion will never change YOU JASON ARE JUST PRETTY GOOD.

UNTIL YOU PROVE OTHERWISE WITH ORIGINALS!!!

Cheers,
J.T.

dude...I heard your WWYS, and that was not really that great...it sounded like you needed to check the tab out again, and the rhythm was off too...

man...............people, there IS a difference between being able to "play" a dave song and making it "resemble" it.

Again the WWYS problem...
I will say this I play the exact same chords as Dave and dmbtabs.com.
I WANTED TO CHANGE THE R-H-Y-T-H-M, its called being ORIGINAL but Jason u don't understand that notion...

ALSO I tune my whole guitar down a half step to sound better with my voice. Again a concept u have no idea about. Vocals are key and if u really listened then my vocals were complementing my guitar. Again being ORIGINAL. NOT COPYING DAVE. Dude we all have DMB and Dave and Timmy shows; so why not put your own flavor in it.

AND i don't mean that copy cat dave speak b4 TS b/c that sounded like shit and made u look stupid.

Cheers,
J.T.

Why didn't u comment on the Originals b/c the cover is not even posted anymore and i doubt i will post many more Covers since i am interested in pursuing my own career not living in the shadow of another, Like Tripping Billies.

Also i do believe u don't even come close to the DMCB!!

DMBFanJason, not to dog on you or anything, but you are no way exact to Daves Guitar playing. I very much like your songs they "resemble" the songs very closely. You are always right on with your left hand fingerboard stuff, anyways this is getting way to nitpicky. If you do decide to do a dave cover, heres my suggestions-

Bartender/dont drink the water- from vh1 storytellers
or
Say Goodbye

what the hell....how could you fix what I play??? what could i possibly do to better the dave parts of my covers? there is nothing...at least nothing I can be shown from this board....

and all this BULLSHIT about your own "style"...thats the biggest joke of all...
let me hear you play it "right" electric, then I'll believe you...oh but wait...you don't have the time or effort...or better yet....you don't "feel" like it....

and as for DMCB...they are the best cover band out there by far, but the guitarist does not have Dave down perfectly...and I "personally" dont like his voice that much.......now, there is no need to rip on my voice, as I have heard it enough from you...

and juineaux...what about the right hand??? do I not have one?

it's too nitpicky because you have nothing to say....Xoosh told me that

"trying to critique my covers gives him a headache, because it sounds like Dave playing through a computer mic"

I think I'll listen to Xoosh's opinion over yours...considering yall's knowledge of dave is...late!

nothing's wrong with it at all...I just think it's flat out crap when people say they add their own style to it, just because they can't play it right....

Let me ask you...if one day you were fuckin around with WWYS one day and boom!...you nailed the riff just right...it sounded exactly like dave's...now then, would you go back to quote, your style, unquote, or would you continue to play it Dave's way which you just discovered???...thats a rhetorical question by the way...

let us be sane and rational here...
