stretching sound recorders

how do you stretch the basic sound recorder on computers past 60 seconds.

get a different sound recording program

(i.e. cool edit pro)

i don't think they make cool edit pro anymore. Adobe bought it, and it's now Adobe Audition. Just FYI.
