I post all my covers at No Where Radio . com and he just sent me this notice.

Please provide proof of performance rights for the cover songs you have uploaded to the site, including ASCAP or BMI membership
numbers, or copies of contracts and contacts to legal representatives.

Your account will be removed in three days time if proof is not provided.

Do I need to have some sort of authorization to play a cover? WTF? I'm not making money so what the fuck is the point of this? Tell me DMB managment isn't cracking down on us people that like to do DMB covers.....this sucks........what should I do?

a while ago the owner of that site was being a douche and posted all of this stuff about dmbfanjason putting covers on their site and not having the rights to them. the dude eventually got kicked off of the boards. i bet he browses the boards now just looking for people who post covers on nowhere radio just so he can be a dick to them too. i would just post your covers somewhere else

just make sure you dont state on your song that its a cover, and use a different name (ie-i named mine stumbling farm animals)

ya can fit 20 MB on there for free...that is (assuming a somewhat steady bandwidth) like 2 five minute songs...no regulations and you can have as many accounts (different info every time) as you need
