Just kidding, but here is my Tripping Billies cover. I think I improved over my last one, Halloween. Tell me if you think so...

nice...everything sounds pretty clear. I really like what you did at the 3:15 mark. It was a nice little change up. The only suggestion I have is to slow down a bit. I listened to your halloween cover too, and both of these songs have very solid guitar work. They seem very rushed though...like youre trying to hurry up and finish. Slow down a bit, and youre set.

it's not a problem if that's how you wanted to play it. i agree completely that sometimes speeding up a song makes it fun.

LOLOL!!!! I'd love to hear Stone and Sattelite on speed!!! Seriously! You should lay them down!! I say they sound like they're on speed not only because they are so fast, but there's somtheing that's frantic about your playing at those tempos, and it's fun to listen to, kinda like a really fast punk song.

I just compared an acoustic arrangement of a Dave Matthews song with a single guitar and voice to a punk song. Wow.

I liked it. you sang it on the lower octave but it seems to suit your voice. Can you sing high? I liked that little jam you patented there. about keeping time, if you want, play and sing along with some ce versions, live versions of the tunes and try to stay with them. the more you do this, the more control you'll have on your tempo. keep up the good work. good luck in the contest.
good, and you?

i can sing in an octave higher for that song, but when i listen back, it sounds funny. for other songs i'll try it harder, maybe -the stone- later this week, early next week. thanks digger, peace

It sounds funny because your really singing.

Right now it sounds like your speaking your way thru, it's not bad, because your hitting the notes, but it's hard to evoke the emotion your looking for when your singing that low. Do you feel vocally tired after singing like that? I would think you do. You just not using your voice as efficiently as it can be used.

We all sound funny when we start learning how to sing. Good lord, if you walked in on someone in a voice lesson you would think you walked in on drunk people or something......we do the silliest things with our voices in order to prepare them for singing.....it sounds to me like you could easily with no trouble or effort for that matter sing in the higher octave. I can't wait till you make the connection and realize how your voice works. You'll be a force to be reckoned with.

this might sound like a cop-out, but ive had a cold the past couple weeks, making my voice a little deeper, and my voice gets scratchy. improvement comes with time and practice.

Very impressive Billy. I thought the guitar work was excellent....perfect in regards to sounding clear and exact. You've got the song done really well....and I did like the jam where you go up the 12th and 10th frets. Also, the previous remarks about the tempo were right on......you're really cruisin'! Overall, I thought you did an awesome job on the guitar.
