.. you know.. i read through this whole convo as i listened and i was shocked at some of the responses this kid got from other musicians (especially you). so i clicked over to your little webpage, and i just couldn't help but laugh. you have all your bitch boys talking about how talented you are, and HONESTLY i think your music lacks in so many areas. i almost fell asleep right at the computer, it sucked. you should think about changing some stuff around... mix it up a little and make it move...

If you read the whole thread, you must have read the part where I mentioned how old all of that material on my website is. Some is upwards of three years old, dude. I have not put any new recordings on my site in about a year. In that time, I've written many things, and recorded even more. I just don't put anything on my site.
I have all my "bitch" boys talk about how talented I am? I do? I don't ask for any sort of praise. I never tell anyone to back me up and say how talented I am.
Thanks for registering to put in your two cents, and I eagerly await your reply.

this is a very rough clip of a song that i have completely composed, but i have to arrange time for my friends to record their respective english horn and cello parts. it's hard to work on other people's schedules.
this is the best i can do for you right now.

And on that note, I'm done with this thread. The arguing can continue, but I stand by everything I have said in this thread.

arguments aside, i think the guitar work, mostly in the chorus, needs work - it sounds sloppy, with extra notes ringing out and that sort of thing
keep at it, i think you could improve a lot, but i'm going to have to agree with everyone that says you sound a bit too much like dave, and it wouldn't hurt to find your own style - it's a bit odd in my opinion to have songs that just in the style of other artists, find your own and you'll have more success - good luck with your future works

it does sound a lot like dave...but i don't rteally think it's that big of a problem..it's his own stuff...and yes it sounds like dave's style...but i mean look at kravitz i think he sounds almost identical to hendrix...just my 2cents

I dont think the problem is just that it sounds similar to dave. that would be fine but you took the same concept of DDTW and Bartender and put it with basically the exact same music so thats where the similarities become overwhelming. my musical advice to you, if this song means so much to you, would be to take those lyrics and that idea and put it with different music.

Okay let me get this straight...
1. You criticize me for saying his material is less than stellar.
2. You say that I shouldn't have a say in the quality of his work when mine is horrible.
3. You call my music "elevator" music.
Do you realize that you're carrying out every action you spoke out against me for? I could hound you and ask you to post your own original material, but I'm not like that. I completely respect the fact that you have an opinion about my music. You have every right to call it elevator music.
But do you see what you just did there?
