then you did it wrong. theres no reason you should be hitting it that hard... and you should be using the side of yo thumb around the middle knuckle.

oh.

when i improv i use pops un the top 3 strings. less blood. speaking of this type of injury though, i saw pics online once of a bass player in a metal band after a show, he had ripped open his thumb during the show and kept on playin, there was blood spattered all over his guitar and his shirt. it was mad crzy.

Very nicely done. Image

Stick around and share some of your newly aquired knowledge with us uneducated folk.
Have you found anybody to jam with or are you on a personal vision quest. ;) Any gigs in the near future?

And Praise, I'm always amazed by how you twist things to make yourself the victim:
ONE person gave me info that helped me. everybody else just told me to quit. so i taught my damn self. i taught myself the damn technique. nobody else would fuckin help. now im about a week or two away from bein able to play it fully, no thanks to anybody on this website. (except them thinking that i couldnt learn it fueled me!)
This is a funny way to show gratitude to those who have given you more patience than you deserve.

I haven't found anybody to jam with, but I play in a combo at school, and for the first time, there is less than four guitarists in it (fuck high school btw)

and the only gigs i have upcoming are one in April that is the combo concert for school, and my friend asked me to play at her wedding, so im getting a quartet together for that (which should be fun considering that she didn't ask me to play anything specific)

and im not sure what new knowledge you want. are you asking about the song or stuff that i learn from my lessons?

One more thing. Knock on wood isn't a technical marvel or anything EXTREMEEELLYYY difficult. He has two necks, thus can tap easily and not get in the way of the other hand, and tapped harmonics are easy as cake. Although it is a joy to listen to, it's nothing to wad your panties over.

Stop. Really. And what makes tapped harmonics "easy as cake?"

dont worry pat, bass players always try to play down anything that has 2 or more strings more than them.
in this case (knock on wood double guitar),
justin has a smack load more strings, bass people cant stand it.
Ya, what does make them "easy as cake?" ?
" I give up on this six string shit. "
