I just listened to your 3 newones.

man, you're better than Dave Matthews.

do you play many gigs around your area? there are some very cool guitar licks on there. you are truly very good, and you make me not want to play my guitar anymore :wink:

Although I gotta say, as good as your voice is, I find it lacks texture, or flavor, I don't know of the right word. It just seems the same everywhere in the song and in every song. Don't take this the wrong way, you're a better singer than I'll ever be.

Interesting comment on the voice. So you'd like a few different sounds? Or is the texture of my voice not all that agreeable to you? Is it that you don't like the way it always sounds, or that after a while you just get tired of it?

it was funny, I started playing your Dumpty song, than half way through I figured I'd start downloading the next one, but it came on right away but I didn't realize so both songs were playing at the same time and at first I thought it was the same song

I was like what the hell?! but then I realized it

I'm serious about the guitar playing actually, its fast and smooth and the riffs are very creative and flow like beer (I don't like wine) but yeah the voice reminds me of Bruce Guthro, who is a great songwriter and singer but its a pure voice and gets, hate to say it boring, after awhile. but hey, that's being over critical, man you HAVE to get out and play a little more, at open mics or things. when they hear you, they'll book you.

by the way, I like those 3 new ones a lot more than the others. They're more creative and seem to have more life to them, I didn't "listen" to the lyrics yet but I'm gonna listen to them now, and give you some feedback on them.

Returning to Dust is an awsome original sounding tune with highlights on the vocal melody, I especially like the ruturning theme (the proposition of, "what can I..."?), then the solution ("i know your you...").

I like the quick assention of "the stories returning..."is a nice way to end it.

Are you talking about a "girl"?

I like your voice more than John Mayer's, because you aren't as annoying.

Nice harmonies...the vocals make the song obviously...

A positive message which is much different than most music today...

I really enjoy the whole thing...I like they way that you don't follow the norm and only use a strange progression...not your average songs like now-adays...

You should persue a career in the studio or at least become poular in your area man...you deserve these props amongst most of the crap that they play on the radio...(sorry, I am just throwing thoughts together right now)...

Well, good show, keep these kind of tunes up and I will always DL them :wink:

fire, returning to dust is about a girl and a little more than that. i was in a very very very serious relationship for two years. she was my first and up to now only girlfriend. i thought that we were going to end up spending the rest of our lives together. i am a christian and have a very vibrant relationship with god, and i really felt that it was something that he was blessing. to make a long story short, in a period of two weeks, that relationship fell apart in very dramatic fashion, and i was cut to the bone. so that song is birthed out of that situation, but it's addressed to god. hope that sheds a little light on the song.

Yeah, you guys are free to download the stuff. If you are having problems downloading stuff, right click on the link, and select "save target as," then put it wherever you want.

The first part is actually a tab of Returning to Dust as requested by a few posters, including guitar clips to help along. The second part has some of my newer stuff, but it's a rough recording as I just used my computer mic and windows sound recorder.

Just want to thank everyone again for the kind words. The encouragement really does mean a lot to me. More and more I'm thinking about trying to make it in the music industry, so we'll see where all of this leads...

how?
well, the only way i can listen to those songs is on that site, how do i get them from the site to my hard drive (sorry, im not the most computer-smart guy in the world)

Go to the site, and then right click on the link for the song you want to download. When you do this, a little pop-up window will appear. From this window, select the heading that says "save target as" or "save as." This will bring up another window of your computer's hard drive. Select where you want to save it (and make sure you remember where you save it) and click "OK" or "Save" or whatever the affirmitive button is. That should do the trick...
