This question falls along the same lines....
I have a Taylor 314ce ltd. with the new expression system. Can I record into my CPU the same way? By buying a reducer that will connect my guitar cable into my mic port and a recording program I should be able to record my playing (if you can call it "playing")?.

yep. it's how i do it if i just want to record the guitar, but i usually just mic it because i find it sounds better.

lol. i have a soundblaster platinum 5.1...built my computer a couple months before all the new crap started coming out. pissed me off. i have the nice front port too, though.
