I don't know what you are looking for, but I got mine used for $900 lol

I think the guitar is great...it was a awesome learning tool for me...it helped me out alot...good sound (my site has alot of Chet going direct)...the guitar sounds better going direct then through effects to me...no feedback...awesome playabilty, great response, action, and attack...not realy true to a dred, but let me saythat I would have done it the same way if I could do it over again...great for playing in a band too...

so depending the condition of the actual guitar, I would do it...but I am not in your position, so I am just recomending it...

what I like (still getting used to the Taylor) is that I can rest the heel of my right hand on the bridge and still get the same sound...I have to pick/strum closer to the sounhole on the 814...

meh...I loved/love it, but you are not in my shoes and visaversa :)

PLAY ONE FIRST

hey fire..sorry on the delay of reply man...I just listened to it for the second time...guitar was great, as mike said the last part was SICK....I agree...the vocals were pretty good too...there were a couple of rough spots on there...the first "open up......baby" part was a little rough, but I was really impressed with the last "open up....baby".....you pretty much nailed that one...just get the first one to sound like the last one and you'll be golden...I know you might not want to hear this, but I liked your recordings with the chet better....I mean the quality sounds better to me with the chet....are you plugging the taylor in? anyways, it was great as usual fire....

thanks Jason

yeah, the Taylor is in, but unfortunately, I am having problems with the sound (not the ES), but getting the right sound...I need to buy a NICE mic or two and place em' out on the frets and body...

anywho, yeah, I was warming up (the vocals) in the beginning...lol

thanks again man :)
