i got an idea, have two contests, all covers and all originals, cause apparantly everyone cant just settle for one and you cant judge a cover against an original.

and if someone decides to cover a song from a musical then they should have to perform that song in a dress with their balls glued to their ass.

i was thinking about covering slave by brittany spears. cause if you take a really bad song, and do it acoustically, it magically makes it a good song

i hope that was sarcasm. and if it is, some songs have decent lyrical content while produced strangely. i dont think slave is one of them, but songs like hey ya translate well to acoustic.

well thats not the best section of it, but i know when i heard it acoustic i appreciated the lyrics much more and found it to be a better song than i originally thought, by a long shot. largely my fault, yes because i had trouble paying attention to the lyrics when outkast played it their way.

i dunno, i have fun covering unconventional songs on acoustic, and i think it broadens the scope of my original stuff

So there you are, thinking that you have a beautiful song from this riff you've been working on for two years and lyrics that strike you to the soul, and suddenly --

"Shit, he covered Across the Universe?"
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
