This is great. I like it a lot more than any of your other originals that I've heard. The vocal melody is awesome and makes the song IMO. Guitar is pretty cool too, almost reminds me of damien rice a little bit. I think the guitar and vocals suit each other perfectly in this song. Very nice job ginger

there is nothing wrong with doing a cover, but i feel like when you get to a certain point, i.e. where mitch is, doing a cover is like practice. we've all done a hell of alot of covers, but if you can write great original stuff, thats something better and above covers imoGold wrote:huh? whats wrong with doing a cover?mangold wrote: BAH
this guys writing great originals! why would you want him to do a cover? BAH

1. great guitar, recorded beautifully and what a great little riff, congratulations
2. the vocals are fantastic as always, i feel for the first time like this song was written for your voice, where your other stuff forced your voice into somewhere it didn't belong.
3. incredible lyrics, that is all. no awkward word choice or structure
all i can say is i wish to god i could write or perform a song like this, definetly one of the best originals ive heard on these boards.
i would buy the album this is on.

haven't been on in a while.. Life seems to pull you in different directions sometimes... Well anyways for my critique...
Lovely song brotha, no complaints. Sounded like you meant it...
I think you did a very nice job with the guitar and the lyrics were heart felt...
Is it one Track?
peace

Great song Mitch. You've got talent.
I don't have a good enough to critique your mixing or whatever you changed with the recording, but it sounded great to me.
Is it possible to download Sand Song from somewhere? I dont think I can download it form your myspace page.

Well written; sounds like a trademark Christian pop song or something, but whatev. The guitar is pretty.
Practice yawning while you're singing; I'm not kidding. Also hum a bit, make sure you're vibrations are coming through all of your reverberators/vibrators; your chest, throat, head, all of it. Helps to relax all your muscles, stand up straight; especially relax your back (upper and lower) and shoulders.
As for the yawning, definitely do that; it'll round out your tone more. Not literally yawning, but just fake a big ol' yawn and sing. You'll notice the difference.

Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
