i like it, guitar sounds complicated...did you do it while singing, or do two tracks? if both at same time, then muchos props...

Alright, I'm not a huge john mayer fan so I wouldnt really know how the song is supposed to sound exactly, but damn man. That sounded great. It sounds like you're pretty comfortable singing that one as well...your voice fits very well in this one. I feel bad cause I dont have any suggestions to make. Try to screw up more often.

Question, which tab do you use and what technique do you use for your strumming/picking hand. Thanks. And as for the song itself, it sounds really good, few hiccups but the song is fucking hard and you pull it off nicely.

awesome stuff. from the look of the tabs ive seen, it looks hard to sing to so that alone was impressive. the guitar was awesome. no suggestions really. good cover.

well just use this tab and try to do a "paddle" from thumb to picking fingers - in other words slap thumb>pick strings>slap thumb>pick strings...only in rythmn...gosh it is so hard to try to explain...TRUST ME, LISTEN TO SOME KELLER WILLIAMS (i.e. eyes of the world - cover - ) and listen how he divides the rythmn between his slaps and plucks... then all you have to do is apply the chordings...just keep your right hand in constant motion...this probably makes no sense either

but...meh...hope you could grasp something from it

I just dont understand, I look at the tab and try to play it slow and it doesnt even sound like Im hitting the right notes. I guess its just when I slow it down to be able to play it it doesnt sound like the song so it just doesnt sound right. How did you learn the song, I dont know why I cant even make it sound anywhere near right. Im just waiting for it to come clear all of a sudden, but its not happening.

Ive been playing acoustic steadily for about a year and a half and I played guitar like four years before till I quit. I can play almost all of Dave's songs and I can fingerpick alright, I just taught myself a few months ago, is this song just out of my league right now?

Well I have been playing by ear for almost a decade now and I usually only use tabs to get me going...I just sat down (w/o the MP3) and tried it...sounded alright - next I busted out the Mp3 and played along listening for particular accents that when people here the cover are gonna say, "well it sounds close enough"...> from there I just keep trying myself...check the tab...check the Mp3...and on and on...If you would like, I can send you a slowed down kinda "teaching tape" of sorts...
P.S. You are in drop C right?
