dmbguitar718 wrote:Like Shane said in General Guitar, I just heard some strumming that sounded similar to stream. What about all the riffs?

Please don't take offense to this.
im not playin this luther style, 50% of stream is improv....

anyway, i uploaded a new version, same link name... this ones 8 and a half mintues... i added runny stuff, since aparently we gotta do it luther style.

Hey filmdude.. this sounds good..but it sounds way too drone-y for stream in my opinion.. and you're missing the classic stream riff i recognize it by:

Code: Select all

e-------------------------0--------------------------0-
b-------------------------0--------------------------0-
g-------------------------4---4-5-4------------------5-
d-4-5-4-------------------5---------7-5-4-2-5-4-2-0—-5-
a-------7-5-4-2-5-3-2-0---0--------------------------0-
D------------------------0---------------------------0-

e-------------------------0---7-8-7-5---------------
b-------------------------0-----------8-7---8---8---
g-------------------------5---------------5---5---7-
d-4-5-4-------------------5-------------------------
a-------7-5-4-2-5-3-2-0---0-------------------------
D------------------------0--------------------------
Sounds good though..work with it and get a better recording up

It's a really crappy recording so it's hard to tell how you're playing... :(

I dont know if youre looking for critiques or just wanted to show people you playing it but like its been said before, there is no picking or riffs really. Youve got most of the strumming parts down allright and I know that 50% of this song is improv, but no matter what he improvises, theres quick riffs and crazy picking individual notes everywhere. Sounds good but Id try working on the other aspects of the song.

I understand that you got alot of shit about this which was uncalled for but I wouldn't say that you can play the song.
There seemed to be just alot of mad strumming with a whole bunch of out of key notes in the improv.
Also, your guitar isn't in drop D anymore. It sounds a bit out of tune.

Look if you can't take critiquing, don't post it. There is no way those notes were in key. Sorry.
