Um.

Well, you're not singing in key, the guitar is off beat, and you're certainly not singing in coordination with what you're playing.

How long have you been playing? Also Pat is right minus the angry intensity....You really need to work on it. Not gonna lie. BUT i see potential. You should work on your strumming and timing. Try to use less of your arm and more of your wrist. And listen to the song and play it at the same time to get the timing right. And the you need to actually sing. I think if you figured out some techniques you might actually have a decent voice. Try to just sing out and be loud. But its up to you. Good luck man!

i watched a few of your vids, the biggest thing you need to work is rhythm and strumming patterns. yours is just a real jerky arm movement, try to use your wrist more and smoooooth it out

Yeah, I suppose I could have said it a little nicer, but they're fairly major problems. But hey, we were all at that point. You've got nowhere to go but up.

You really need to concentrate on when the chord changes are, I wouldn't be able to sing on key over that either because you arent following the timing of the song.

and just slow down a little

i've been watching some videos and what not of it...and it seems to me that the intro is a slower strum and it speeds up during the verse and fill...am i right?

For consistency and accuracy you should keep your forearm and your wrist "attached".... there are plenty of famous guitarists who don't.... butt it does make it easier ;)

Keep at it brotha... And please comb your hair before you put yourself on the Internet ;)

that was pretty awful. but the guitar isn't that bad for just 7 months. just keep practicing. and it wouldn't be a horrible idea to get lessons to help you progress faster.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Stick with it man, 7 months is not very long and you will be amazed how quickly you progress after about a year.

The singing needs some work though, it almost sounds like you aren't hearing the notes you are playing. Try just just strumming chords and humming along trying to maintain pitch. Keep it simple, two step is a bitch to play and sing at the same time.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Hey same thing just work on rythem. Hey my singing needs alot of work to. Also just for only playing for 7 months you are doing good. Dave matthews band songs are not easy to play. So just keep it up. From listening I can see that if you just fix those problems. You will not sound bad at all.

stay on the second chord of the verse for more than .03 seconds too, that'll help
