Your singing is good and your playing is fine but my only gripe is your tone. It sounds so snappy and twangy. Very unpleasant, in my opinion. You need to round out the sound of your guitar.

Sounded pretty good.

I'd agree with Willin and say that the guitar tone needs some adjusting. Have you tried putting it though a DI pedal of some sort?

I use the SansAmp DI pedal found here Acoustic DI

Also, I'd avoid playing a "Dave Set". Try throwing in some other covers and more originals. I love DMB as well, but, to listen to 45 minutes of someone else playing only his stuff would get tiresome.

Keep up the good work!

Peace, love and good tunes!

Dude i know what your saying. I have an acoustic guitar pedal that models the top guitars in the world. I just don't use it. Idk why. But thanks for the advice. I appretiate any comments good or bad. Helps me round out my performance.

really good.

at some points it seems you are trying to emulate daves voice too much. but your voice is nice. my only advice is to sing just like yourself.

Are you trying to sing like Dave on purpose?

Guitar playing was good and voice was fine, I just don't like it when people try to do Dave's vocal fills, it always sounds bad.

on OSW my only thing is diction, it's hard for me to understand the lyrics, and for dave songs like OSW that have very good lyrics it would be nice to hear all the words clear.

You have the Dave fancy footwork down pretty good too. Do you do that when you are not singing Dave? No offence...I know DMB has had a great influence on you but I like to see people sing Dave and be themselves.

Anyway....I really enjoyed the vid's and your guitar playing. I hope to one day be able to play a DMB song......

I have to admit that I find myself doing some sort of leg work when I'm playing. I try to stop but then I just don't get into it. I hate thinking I'm copying him but in all honesty I just get into the music in a similar way. I have twitchy legs. haha

My first ever performance my leg was bouncing up and down out of nervousness so I think dancing a bit helped me from looking so nervous.

No not really.....I sing the song the way i sing it. I don't think i sound like dave...but i guess it does have a dave sound to it. Singing isn't just singing. Theres different types. For daves music i sing a cetain way. But if i'm playing rock or originals i sing another way. Its hard to explain. But no i don't try to sound like him.....I also can't help but do a couple of dave steps.....I try not to.....comes naturally. I watched Dave DVDs for a year before i started playing and i guess that rubbed off on me....I'll get my originals up there soon....got about 6 or 7 so far.......

better than most covers i've heard... i'd definitely work on your vocals though... not so much that your off key as it is the tone is... well... annoying IMO. and i'd have to agree with everyone saying you mimic dave too much, whether you're meaning to or not.

just watched ants marching... your playing wasn't as good

I liked your covers. I cant help but to sing similar to dave myself, but I dont have to strain or anything its just the way it comes out.

How long have you been playing guitar?
