First Orignal song post

Unread post by philtheman » Sat Jan 06, 2007 10:18 pm

This is my band, we dont really have a name, but we could use some honest feedback and/or compliments to this song. anything helps
The song is called Keep on Burning and our original bass player didnt come to the recording so the lead vocalist/guitar player played the bass riff. I played the drums. We are a 3 peice band out of Oklahoma but we got a longtime friend to play sax. thanks again

Listening now...
I like how it kicks into the groove.
The vocal harmonies are pretty right on. At some points i have a hard time understanding what youre saying. The Sax is pretty slick i gotta say. I dont have much to critique about the instrument playing itself. Is that an acoustic guitar i hear about 4 mins into it? The lyrics seem pretty plain and nothing to really grab me into the message of the song itself. But its pretty fun to listen to otherwise. Good work

oooh i really like the riff

the vocals are real nice as well. you can definitely hear the dave influence.

i dont really know what to say. you seem to have honed your style very well, all i can say is its beautiful work.

Dug

Nice work, you're playing the drums? Is this live?

Everyone is pretty tight... How long have you all been playing together?

I really dug this, going on my ipod... Probably the best thing I've heard here so far... Not to offend anyone else... I just really liked it.

I'll go check that other out as well. Have any more?

Great song like it a lot better than shine. The lyrics didn't grab me but the instrumentation seems to be the focus of this song and it was enough to keep me interested. Good work!
