i love the song selection.

im gonna comment as i listen:

the vocals are good, you hit all the falsettos so far. i love the instrumentals, nice little bass runs and pickin' just turn down the trebble a bit, it sounds like an electric guitar.

the vocals are only getting better, take that fucking disclaimer off. nothing pisses me off more than a talented person in denial.

no complaints here, i only wish i could sing like that. my flasettos all sound like im kidding.

keep it up mitchy

I am about halfway through it right now...and I have to say that is great, man. I think your voice sounds great. There are times when I think you kind of sound a little Gavin DeGraw-ish...in a good way. Solid cover dude.

i'll also be commenting as i listen:

-so far, i think the guitar work is phenominal. really liking it, it's very flowy.

-i actually sort of like the way your voice cracks a little at the end of the "rocketman" part..it's unique and sounds cool.

-i'm really liking the ending with the "hey"s and "oooo"s. i like that it's sort of an extended ending.

overall, great cover. not much to critique. a few missed notes here and there, but not too many. great job mitchy, i loved it :)

I love the falsettos. The first verse was shaky for me besides them. The choruses are good.

Like you said, a few out of key spots.

Overall, I like the guitar, I like the liberties taken on the melody and outro.

anything but shatner just sucks

that being said, good job appsy, stick with those falsettos, you are on key to start. Seems like you have a little trouble staying on key during the verses but overall quality vocals, guitar is beautiful

sounded really really good. the guitar work was great, no critique there. the vocals were also really good. at points it sounded like you were going to break out of key but you always stayed on. the falsettos were really good, and i agree with whit's comment about your voice breaking giving it a cool unique sound. great work.

critique

Unread post by AustinG » Wed Nov 01, 2006 1:16 pm

Good Job- I wasn't excited about how it started off but you finished up strong. A little work coming down from the high notes in the beginning of the song.... Maybe try a little more attitude like you did towards the second half of the song...

I forgot to add that the ending sounded great... stick that first highhhhhh in the beginning like you do at the end and you'll own it... I think that's the first part of the song that always grabs me... highhhhhhh

Guitar is solid, is it one track?

Nice job overall
