please critique my song
here is a new recording, I have been trying to work on my singing. Let me know what you think, and what I can do to improve it. Thanks!

your voice sounds like anthony kiedis a bit...when you open up. your voice sounds great when you let it be. but for most of it you're holding back. but w/ a bit of practice, you'll have a very cool voice.
not much to say about the song. didn't hate it, didn't love it. pretty good. no real critiques, it is what it is and you played it well.

the air that you breathe when you sing should come from your stomach. if you were taking in a big breath to sing, your stomach would swell up more than your chest would. also contract your stomach muscles when you sing. stay relaxed, but the air is being pushed from you belly. that adds strength, volume, and allows you to really belt it out adding confidence to it. wake up your neighbors kind of thing.ksutterley wrote:i have had a couple people tell me to sing using my diaphragm more...but how exactly do you do that? are there any specific things I can do to work on it?

I had a whole paragraph on how it works, I'll try to find it.Appfro wrote:the air that you breathe when you sing should come from your stomach. if you were taking in a big breath to sing, your stomach would swell up more than your chest would. also contract your stomach muscles when you sing. stay relaxed, but the air is being pushed from you belly. that adds strength, volume, and allows you to really belt it out adding confidence to it. wake up your neighbors kind of thing.ksutterley wrote:i have had a couple people tell me to sing using my diaphragm more...but how exactly do you do that? are there any specific things I can do to work on it?
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
