Like I said in the other post, by the time I figured out it was pretty much light lift me up I already had words to it. So all in all I don't really care. I like the song and I like playing it. Dude, don't let them get you down. Fuck the naysayers. Keep posting, none of us are as original as we think. Consider that there aren't really all that many chord progressions in music and usually they only really become unique as you add other instruments to the mix. But straight acoustic, its already all been done before. Who cares, put your twist on it.

You would think that with a few billion fucking people in this world you might see something similar sometime. But seriously, I really don't feel like wasting my time to get stuff put up for the purpose of feedback if this is what I'm going to get. Tell ya what, if I actually ever publish any of my stuff, I'll write Dave Matthews a fucking letter and get permission to copyright a song that sounds like one they have played once and teased for 12 seconds at a concert once. I'll also give the guy partial credit for the lyrics that we both happened to write on that other song. Fair enough or do I just need to go out back and shoot myself? I have NO problem with someone telling me my shit sounds similar to something, but to be an ass and say something like poor form is stupid in so many ways. It's a matter of taking time to get stuff on here that pisses me off. I've got other places that I post stuff and get good feedback besides the internet. Maybe I just need to grow a pair and not worry about it, but music is probably the one thing in my life at this point that is personal to me and it really gets my blood rushing when some douche bag brings up something that was none of his business and says that I stole lyrics from someone. This is an instance of something that just pisses me of to no end and it's something that is not easy for me just to shrug off. Why watse my time to put my stuff somewere were that has happened now on more then one occasion? I love a lot of your guys feedback and it has helped me a lot, but I seriously have a lot of other mediums that I utilize now, so not posting my stuff here is not a huge deal to me (Nothing against any of you...). This is really something I do not like hearing, especially comming from someone who does not know what the fuck they are talking about....

well first of all, i wouldn't say that the ones that said something don't know what they are talking about. two of them are some of the better song writers on here. so you wrote something that sounded like something else...so the fuck what. get on w/ your life, and write the next thing ya know? i mean hell, write something about this incident. doesn't matter. and so someone said poor form. i hate to go back to it, but read some of the critique's statements against artists. you're going to get a ton worse than those two words. you'll get accused ripping stuff off, you'll be told you can't play/sing/perform worth a shit. those things have to bounce off of you. if you let them get to you, it's just going to affect your music. just keep playing, keep writing, keep posting, and people will keep critiquing. i hate to say it again, but seriously, thicken your skin man.

How many times do you think he has had to read that he sucks or he sounds like dave matthews, or he will never be SRV? If you really start listening, it will kill you inside.
