Would anyone like to do a community cover?

Unread post by Xoosh » Tue Jan 07, 2003 11:31 pm

I was wondering if anyone wants to do a community cover...

for example (but not limited to)... one person plays the main guitar line
another person sings
another person does a solo track
another person does another solo track...

If you need multi tracking software... talk to me privately -- wont discuss it over the board. my AIM: Aguitarguy02

Respond if you're interested.

ok...what for drums...no machine will give you anything good...are we going to do it w/o drums...(i can keep time prob better WITHOUT the drums)

Who is to start?

An MP3 right...

Should I just lay a rythmn track down and let you give it a whirl and see what happens from there?

If so, I could have a very clean, in-time track laid down for you to do whatever you want...and I WANT TO DO THE CONTEST...EVEN IF ITS ONLY 3 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x

Well anywho, tell me ASAP, and I will get on it ASAP ok?

If you dont have a full car already Xoosh id be more than happy to play pretty much any part of two step.
I know all the guitar ,bass, and drums to that song so if you need an extra person let me know.
Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

I would love to do something like this. But it looks like all parts might be covered (since I can't sing). And if this one works out, or even if it doesn't, we should try Grey Street. It would probably be easier anyway.

I was actually thinking about this today. I think what we should do is pick a version of the song, and we can all just listen to that on headphones as we record it. Then everybody can record their own part while listening to that common DMB recording, then all the parts will fit together in the end.

This would be a hoot. I'd have a bash at singing it, but I would need some tutoring. I am using n-Track Studio and I have a 4 track mixer. What is the best sound card for recording? Mine only handles one track and it has an irritating lag (echo) when I am using the live input processing. Anyway, great idea. Let me know.

If drums are what you need, I can do it, but I don't have the kind of equipment to record my kit onto my computer. I know someone who does, but he's kind of a wanker so I doubt he'd help me. I'll try anyway.
