My band on the radio...

Unread post by captainburrito » Fri Jul 14, 2006 4:25 pm

Hello everybody! On Wednesday, my band, Backdraft: The Musical, was interviewed and performed on an hour long local radio show. It was so much fun. They gave us a recording of the show. I thought I would try to share it with y'all. The thing is, it is an hour long show so it is like a 50MB file. I put it on sendspace if any of you want to download it.

I wish I could find a place that would let me set up such a big file for streaming, but I can't seem to find one. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

So, give it a listen if you want...we are pretty proud of it. Oh, and I am the guy with the most annoying voice out of the group...that probably makes the corniest jokes.

Alrighty, I got the show broken up into tracks, and here are a few of them, the first one is called "The Apple Pickin'" Song...it is pretty slow and almost country-ish:

The second one is called "And She Said", and is probably my favorite one that we play:

The third one is called "Bran's Song" and is kind of corny in a good way:

The quality turned out better than I thought it would, playing live on the radio at a podunk volunteer run radio station. It would be awesome if you guys gave it a listen and let me know what you think.

Nice man, my band did the same thing a while back, and we had a blast too.

I'm listening to And She Said right now. The chorus is really beautiful, when she hits that high falsetto note it's great. The tandem guitar-violin melody lines are quite nice as well. Sounds awesome man, keep on keepin' on.
