So I just bought some new recording equipment today and I recorded one of my originals to see how it comes out, so here is the final product.
It can be found in this folder:
http://www.dmbfan.com/music (redoing the site into something...)
The song is called My Support and it was written for a friend of mine on her birthday. The song is kinda old and I've written some other stuff since then that I'll be recording tomorrow I'm sure.
The equipment I used is:
Taylor 814ce
Audix OM5 Vocal Mic
M-Audio FireWire 410 recording interface
Let me know what you think. Any and all suggestions/criticism/comments is appreciated

The quality sounds good to me. The guitar part was good but got a little repetative for my taste. The vocals were good.

Thanks for the comments
Any specific parts that you thought the guitar got repetitive? I am more than willing to retool the song, I wrote it a long time ago and I think it perhaps may need a new face.

personally, i dug the guitar. cool chords, gotta love the 6/8. i think you need a stronger voice. you have the makings for a good voice, but you have to put something behind it first. make it stronger. it's like you're whispering to sing, and you're not very confident. belt that out man, you'll find out what kind of potential you really have. listen to some of miguel's tracks (trippinghillbilly) listen to the strength in his voice. otherwise, good stuff.

Thanks for the criticism Appfro!
Yeah, my brother told me I was too quiet (whispering were his exact words too). I usually sing that song with a really strong voice when I perform it, but I guess being that it was the first recording with my new equipment, I was probably trying to be real careful and get everything on as close to possible.
Yeah, I'll definitely re-record it with a stronger voice.
