Original "Tomorrow Today"

Unread post by mattinbeloit » Mon Jul 03, 2006 3:15 am

I might have posted this once before but it wasn't very good... This ones better and I tuned down half a step and that helped my voice. Let me know what you think.

The guitar was really good, it had a great atmospheric sound. The singing was good too, but I think what would really help the song is if you increased the intensity of your voice as the song goes on, especially when you get to "until I live today" which seems to be the peak of the song- sing that line with everything you've got. Just a suggestion, but I liked the song overall.

They always play that on the radio in the weight room...

Cuz every worthless word we get more far away, and nothing's ever promised tomorrow today, and nothing lasts forever but be honest babe, tough but it may be the only way

I kind of liked him, but when he made that statement about George Bush I lost a lot of respect for him. It had nothing to do with my political ties, I just thought it was a stupid statement, and for someone that I actually liked in the rap industry because of the stuff he chose to write about, he seemed like every other guy out there when he said that...

It was just weird that someone that seems so smart with the kind of stuff he puts out would go and say something like that.

did Kanye say that Bush hated black people, or was that someone else?

Matt, I liked that a lot. The guitar was great, and consistent (I didn't hear one mistake), and you have a great voice. I agree with what someone earlier said--it's important to find an apex of the song, and build up to that and come down. The energy of your song was pretty much the same all the way through. That's a detail though, and you shouldn't have any trouble nailing that down. Great job overall!
