So I met up with Tim Reynolds after the show on 4/20, and he said he liked my Stream, but the meter was off. So I went ahead and recorded another take. This still is no means my best work, although I've fixed some of the timing issues. Stay tuned for the next one (I'm currently learning how to play it with both hands at the same time to get that 12-string effect)...

What happened was when I got there I said hello to Fluffy (the tour manager, whom I met at a show last year), and he had been listening to my TR covers. I post on the TR message boards and that is where he heard them. Apparently he had been spreading them to the crew and played Stream for both Tim and Marcus Eaton prior to my arrival. So basically I got a lot of "so do you remember that piano version of stream? well this is the guy who played it." "oh really?! no way!!" from the guys in the crew and from Marcus Eaton. When the show was over Tim came out to say hi and I told him I knew that version of Stream wasn't really that great and I was going to record another one. He said "oh that's ok... I can't play it right either..." which was pretty funny. So yeah... great night. And to top it off, it was my birthday too. "Congratulations... another year closer to death," says Tim on finding out it was my birthday.praisedave wrote:ok.. wait a sec... had reynolds heard your version before or did you bring it with you? thats damn damn damn cool

Before I left I gave a CD of all my TR covers to Fluffy and told Tim about it. Tim was excited then, and he asked if I wanted to do LSD at the show the next night (jokingly of course). We then took a picture and seeing that Tim was thinking "oh great... another one of these..." I said to him, "yeah, I just don't think Tim Reynolds gets enough pictures with his fans anymore," and he laughed and then we were on our way.
