You've got the right idea. Now I'd focus on somehow getting cleaner recordings, and not letting the tracks argue with each other (i.e. not letting it get too busy). Pick a voice and stick with it, pick another voice, and maybe let them play off each other, but don't let them get into a yelling match because that makes it harder to listen to.
Definitely keep it up though.
