My first original gig (Videos) ***NEW VIDEO***

Unread post by Appfro » Tue Mar 21, 2006 8:16 pm

I had a shared gig the other night. didn't go all that well because i didn't even get started until midnight and by the time i started no one was there was gone cept the people that came w/ me. Either way, i got some videos of the event. i'm not especially proud of them, but if you guys wanna check them out, here they are. Sorry for the darkness, the stage wasn't very lit. and sorry for the quality, i wanted to make them an acceptable size.

i only watched the second one, but it was awesome man. sounds like you had fun.

i loved that cover of wish you were here, too bad it was just a transition song because i thought it sound awesome. i also really like miracle, that riff is really catchy.

keep it up man :)

I watched sand song and miracle and I kept thinking that those songs would FUCKING ROCK with a band backing you. Not to diminish your solo performance, because it was very good, sounded confident and comfortable on stage. I love that riff man, keep it up and bring some spotlights next time!
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

typing while i listen apps-
sand song - loved the chorus the first time, your voice is great in both the verse and chorus - one critique i have is that the guitar seems a little rough during the verse, seems like a lot going on and its almost like you can hear more 'strumming noise' on the low E string than notes

cool transition from wish you were here...ok onto miracle - sorta have the same comment on the verse guitar, seems like almost too much going on, both this chorus and the chorus to sand song have less guitar work and sound better IMO - i do like it though, enjoying the singing, cool lyrics

i have to run now, but i'll comment on dignity later - very good so far apps, hope my comments weren't too negative

Pretty much an audio for me. My screen doesn't get that bright, all I saw was a black screen. Sounded good though.

I listened to "Sand song" - "Miracle"

You did a "studio" recording of Sand song awhile ago, right? If you could re-up it, I'd love to hear it. I like it alot. I only recently got cable internet and have becoming able to DL songs/videos, so I missed it the first time around.

So here's a video that my buddy put together for me from a talent show i did in iraq. i haven't shown this to many people, but i felt bad for the shitty video i posted early.

if you look you can notice a few things.
1. i was very nervous
2. i play the beginning of miracle (i hadn't written it yet, only the chords)
3. i didn't know leonord cohen wrote hallelujah

there are some major messups, but enjoy nonetheless.
*Warning, it's almost 50mb*

ps. it's called the no talent show cause i didn't win and my buddy was mad about it :) what are friends for
