I finally tried to record something...

Unread post by captainburrito » Sat Feb 18, 2006 4:20 pm

Hey everybody. I have been around here for quite some time, i just dont say a whole lot. Well, two of my friends and I decided to try and play together in my living room, we recorded it on an old cheap computer mic, and this is what happened. It is super rough, and one of the songs that we wrote I found out sounds a lot like "Change" by Justin King, so if you listen to it, just pretend like it doesn't.

I am playing guitar with another guy, and my friend Danielle plays violin and sings. Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

P.S. In typical myspace fashion, the player doesnt work every time, so just keep trying.

Alrighty, I decided to YSI in case myspace was acting up

oh yeah, and the second song on the player is actually called "Rise Again (The South Probably Won't)"...just to clear up any KKKwestions that "RiseAgainTheSouth" may have brought up.

sounds difficult to play, but not really enjoyable to listen to, like bluegrass. everything sounds in its place tho even if its not my style of music.

Not too bad, was this in an open tuning?

Thanks for the comment, Matt. I am not sure which song you are talking about, but all of our songs are just in regular old standard tuning, pretty basic chord progression stuff.

Bran Song has a cool little groove goin, i like the riff. I thought "the hands you gave me" was really cool. Your friend is pretty talented at the violin. I think that you need to sync up the guitar and the violin a little more during the part where you playing sucessive hits (0:40s).

Overall pretty good
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
