guitar - solid playing, good beat. i actually like the playing a lot, great progression.

vocal - good voice. on key...that's always a plus. the song may be a little too low for you in places. you have a little bit of control problem when you get to the really low notes, but nothing really bad at all. for 90% of the time your voice sounded really good. you also had a little problems w/ the chorus part? "something, i wanna taste your love" you hit the notes, but it took some searching.

ive never heard this song before so i can't compare yours to theirs, but you did a great job. keep em coming.

the guitar's a little too fast. it's a mellow song, and your rhythm goes off a little bit. it sounds like you're relying too much on the guitar to guide you through the singing, and if one stumbles, the other one stumbles a bit too. it's a little too bouncy, especially when you're singing "photograph." try to smooth out the singing a little more. the chorus was a little rough, as App said. work on the singing seperately for a while...it takes a bit to hit those high notes and you're not holding them long enough.

as for the playing itself, it sounds all right now. i'm sure if you slow it down it'll be even better. what tab are you using? there are some places that sound a bit off/different.

sorry if i sounded harsh or anything, but it needs some work. there's a lot of potential there and when you do finally hit it, i'm sure it'll be great. keep at it, man. :)

Thanks for the feedback, you're not being to harsh, just honest. I will work on the deep parts and slowing it down. I got the tabs from a howieday site and I have a live video of him and changed some of the parts on the tab. Once again thanks!

James,
Sounded good man. You can tell you have been working on your voice, and its paying off.

Just for grins, you should pull out your old posts and compare...to see how far you have come!

sounds pretty nice. Put a bit more power in your voice and it'll be just fine. If you work on your voice here and there, you could be a really good singer.

Keep it up, Bo.

that sounds a lot better, and a bit more listenable because i've heard the original so many times now. now it's a little too slow...trying finding some live versions to play along to and pretty soon you'll have it down wonderfully. your strumming pattern still needs a little work...throw in a few variations, and sometimes it sounds a little clumsy, so work on smoothing that out. every now and then you stumble a bit. the biggest problem is that there's a stop-go transition from the end of the verse of the guitar part back to the beginning, smooth that out a little more.

as for singing, it was better this time. it sounds like you're emphasizing consonants and syllables so it gives it a sort of stuttery/talking feel, which takes some practice to level out, but there's a lot of potential. try drawing your notes out a little more.

hopefully that helps. it's getting better, man. keep at it!
