start from scratch

Unread post by topgun17 » Sun Jan 08, 2006 6:08 pm

so im wondering about recording just to start out with some guitar recording and move into singing there are a couple of questions i'd like to ask.
1) what do i need?
a. the best equipment
b. most cost effective
c. cheapest that still has good quality
2) im guessing most of this i will be able to run through my computer so...
a. setting it up
b. programs i can get off the computer to help add effects to the music
c. if it runs through my computer would it still give a acoustic tone without an mic? i believe my guitar has a mic in the guitar but im not totally sure
3) im sure there is a 3  ill have to get back to you on it maybe ill think of it later in the topic. but for what im gonna get out of this thanks guys!
